A new director general at the National Council of the Order of Architects



The President of the National Council of the Order of Architects (NOAC), Christine Leconte, and the desk elected officials have appointed Marie-Aude Bailly-Le Bars general manager of the Cnoa. This function did not exist so far in the organization chart. “The sovereign and political ambition carried by the National Council requires an administrative organization more suited to the current challenges of the institution. Responsiveness to (so-called sovereign) obligations, quality of service to architects and adaptation to major political issues related to ecological transition are the objectives that have guided this approach.“, explains the Cnoa in a press release.

Who is Marie-Aude Bailly-Le Bars?

Marie-Aude Bailly-Le Bars joined the Board in May 2022 as coordinator of the collegiate general management and director of political action, with the aim of “to organize the speech of the architecture of public interest towards the political or administrative decision-makers and the economic, cultural and social partners“. Sciences Po graduate Toulousea degree in public law, a master’s degree in political science and a DESS in political communication from the Sorbonne, she has a long career in the local public service.

After briefly working at the RATP and at the Métropole du Grand Paris, she held the position of director of cabinet of the City of Puteaux then that of Clichy-la-Garenne. She then joined the City of Asnières-sur-Seine as Deputy Director General of Services. At the general management of the Cnoa, Marie-Aude Bailly-Le Bars will work to develop the general strategy of the Order with the elected officials of the office, and will have the particular mission of developing “the influence of the Order in the construction of public policies“.
