A record year for French Tech fundraising in New Aquitaine – Le Journal des Entreprises

In the latest national barometer of corporate fundraising, published by In Extenso and Essec Business School, we learn that New Aquitaine is the third most dynamic region in 2022 with 663 million euros raised (French Tech Bordeaux mentioned 675 million euros at the end of December), an increase of 354% in amount and 42% in number of operations compared to 2021. It is behind Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes (698 M€) and, naturally, the Île-de-France (10.3 billion euros). With an average ticket of 12 million euros, it is thus ahead of Hauts-de-France (609 M€) or Occitanie (381 M€) and represents 6% of the total number of collections in France on the period, compared to 1% in 2021. Flying Whales, Infinity and Telecom Design make up the regional top three, with respectively 122, 107 and 70 million euros raised in 2022. As a reminder, the total amount of fundraising for the French Tech Bordeaux ecosystem increased from 79 million euros in 2018 to €100m in 2020 and €283m in 2021.
