A tree-shaped residential building grows on Australia’s East Coast

In the town of Burleigh Heads, 80 kilometers south of Brisbane (Australia), a residential building 31 meters high has emerged. The architectural firm Koichi Takada Architects designed this 15-apartment building that resembles the Norfolk pines, an endemic tree species that inhabits the Australian coast. Indeed, the coast is marked by the presence of many of these trees which are classified as Australian heritage. With its large white curves, the building soars into the urban landscape and opens onto the ocean.
