The ecological component of the Parisian majority continues its war against the Porte de Montreuil project. Opposed to any construction on the edge of the ring road – housing subjects its inhabitants to unacceptable pollution, and there are already too many offices in Paris – the environmental group of the Paris Council submitted to the public, on February 21, its “alternative project” to that carried by the municipal executive, with the promoter Nexity.
This project, which provides for the construction of 52,000 square meters on several buildings along and above the motorway, including the creation of a building-bridge, the covering of the slab and its vegetation, is the winner of a call to international innovative urban projects, Reinventig Cities, launched by the C40 association, major global cities for the climate. The winning consortium, led by Nexity, is notably made up of Aire Nouvelle, the real estate subsidiary ofEngie, and Crédit Agricole Immobilier. He was appointed in 2019.
