[BFM/ Le JDE] Nosoli: “Becoming a company with a mission commits us” – Le Journal des Entreprises

Nosoli, the group that brings together the bookstores Le Furet du Nord and Decître, and, more recently, the Chapitre.com site, is in the process of becoming a company with a mission. This commitment responds to the group’s desire to reaffirm strong values, which have always been part of its identity, underlines Cyril Olivier, the group’s new CEO.

“It’s not marketing or advertising, it’s something that engages us, pleads the manager. It’s inscribing in the hard what has always been part of our DNA, in the cultural, in the ‘environmental, in the societal’. Nosoli will therefore include this mission in its statutes: “to make reading and culture accessible to everyone in their diversity”. “It’s giving yourself an objective that is beyond us. Companies will only interest employees and citizens if they have an extra soul, meaning,” assures Cyril Olivier.

Parity, decarbonization and circularity of the book are at the heart of the group’s approach which, for the first time, will offer its customers second-hand books on its shelves. Nosoli will rely on the stocks and know-how of its latest acquisition, Chapitre.com, to create this new circuit for recovering and reselling books. This new offer should appear in the group’s stores at the end of the first half of 2023.
