Comerso expands in Spain – Le Journal des Entreprises

The Comerso company (40 employees, “less than €10 million turnover”), born in Agen (Lot-et-Garonne) and based in Bordeaux (Gironde) and specialist in supporting companies in the recovery of unsold goods and waste (food or not), has signed a contract with the Spanish agri-food manufacturer Vicky Foods (€405 million turnover in 2021). “We provide them with a turnkey solution to identify the associations benefiting from their donations, train them in the standardization of their donation process, logistically support the journey of the products via carriers and manage the administrative and fiscal contractualization of the process, for their ensure traceability of donated products and optimize the tax benefits of their donations”, explains Pierre-Yves Pasquier, CEO of Comerso. While Vicky Foods is its first local customer, Comerso created a subsidiary in Madrid earlier this year and is already seeing other potential opportunities thanks to a new law that will come into force in Spain this summer to reduce food loss and waste. at least 20%.
