Crédit Agricole du Languedoc launches its new Sofilaro Innovation vehicle – Le Journal des Entreprises

Crédit Agricole du Languedoc (CAL, 2,700 employees) publishes its 2022 balance sheet, posting net banking income of €641.9 million (+7%), for net income of €183.2 million. Shareholders’ equity amounted to €4.7 billion. Despite a context made uncertain by the war in Ukraine and soaring inflation, the bank, which has one million customers, won 48,000 last year. Outstanding loans increased by 7%, standing at around one billion euros for all targets (professionals, companies, promoters). To boost its action towards start-ups with high growth potential, CAL will add to Sofilaro, its private equity firm, the new Sofilaro Innovation vehicle: planning to invest €35 million, including €15 million over two years, it will intervene in seed and acceleration phases, on tickets that can reach 2 or 3 M€. The nuggets targeted are evolving in the transitions prioritized by the bank: renewable energies, health, digital, agri-agro… A second vehicle, Sofilaro Dette Privée, focused on corporate bond financing, is endowed with €60 million.
