Grolleau enters into exclusive negotiations for a gradual acquisition of a stake in OMP Mechtron – Le Journal des Entreprises – Maine-et-Loire

The Angevin society of Montilliers Grolleau (€31.2 million turnover, 200 employees) which designs and manufactures outdoor metal cabinets and charging stations for electric vehicles, announces that it has entered into exclusive negotiations for a gradual acquisition of a stake in the Italian company OMP Mechtron. Specialized in the manufacture of metal cabinets, frames and racks and the structure of fast charging stations. OMP Mechtron manufactures functional assemblies and sub-assemblies in sheet metal, ready to be integrated, in the telecom, rail and energy markets. Founded in 1987, the company (32 M€ turnover in 2022) employs 300 people on 3 industrial sites in Italy, Mexico and China, and has sales offices in France and Germany. This acquisition would allow Grolleau to invest in new markets and expand further abroad, benefiting on the one hand from complementary products and technological solutions, particularly in the market for charging stations, and on the other hand from commercial synergies. The transaction is expected to be completed before June 30, 2023.
