Hardware store Würth opens its 200th store in France – Le Journal des Entreprises


The professional hardware store Würth France (2021 revenue: €678 million, 4,200 employees), including head office is located in Erstein in Bas-Rhin, opened its 200th store in the country on December 26, in Rochefort, in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region. The first “Proxi shop” was born in 2006 in Haguenau. The largest subsidiary of the German group Würth (2021 turnover: €17 billion, 82,000 employees) plans to approach the figure of 300 stores in France by 2026. In 2023, Würth France wants to test the 24/ 24 & 7/7, already operational in Germany, which allows access to stores thanks to an automatic opening system, outside opening hours. At the same time, the company has installed charging stations for electric vehicles in ten car parks. By the end of 2023, 20 additional stores should be equipped.
