It is a system that will be established over time: the aid for hiring apprentices in the amount of €6,000 will be extended until 2027, i.e. until the end of the second five-year term of Emmanuel Macron, himself announced the President of the Republic during a reception at the Élysée. Established last Decemberthis unique aid is intended to facilitate the recruitment of work-study students under 30 and thus support the French apprenticeship system.

All companies that have entered into a contract with an apprentice, minor or adult, between January 1 and December 31, 2023, can benefit from this system for the first year of performance of the contract. The Government, which ensures that this aid “proven” in favor of the employment of young people, particularly the least qualified, hopes to further increase the number of apprenticeship contracts signed at national level, who had already reached a historic record in 2020.

“One million apprentices per year”

“Apprenticeship aid is no longer exceptional, it is becoming a strong and lasting lever for the full employment of our young people”, reacted by press release Olivier Dussopt, Minister of Labour, Full Employment and Integration, and Carole Grandjean, Minister responsible for Vocational Education and Training. The two tenants on rue de Grenelle believe that this reaffirmed support will “better anticipation for businesses” and, consequently, facilitated recruitments. “Over 80,000 contracts have been signed this year and we continue to aim for one million apprentices per year by 2027”the ministers said.
