how the Olympi demonstrator wants to change the situation for construction sites
A seemingly banal operation, but which could well open the door to a paradigm shift. In the district of Chartres station, in Eure-et-Loir, a residence of 37 apartments in R+3 is in the process of coming out of the ground. Nothing too extraordinary so far, except that it is actually a pilot project. Named Olympi, this Plan Bim 2022 demonstrator aims to initiate a “industrial and territorial ecology approach”.
More prosaically, it is a question of reconciling the use of the digital model with that of prefabricated systems in low-carbon concrete. An intelligent marriage supposed to limit costs, meet (or even reduce) deadlines and reduce the carbon footprint of the project. Launched in 2022, the site will eventually offer around forty off-plan apartments, ranging from 2 to 5 rooms over a total area of 2,215 m².
The real estate developer Pierres & Territoires of Eure-et-Loir (member of the Procivis network) is leading the project for which the concrete manufacturers, represented by the Fib (Federation ofindustry concrete) and the Cerib (Concrete Industry Study and Research Center), offer their latest low-carbon solutions. With an overall cost of 1.3 million euros for the structural work, the residence should be delivered in the 1st quarter of 2024.
