In Château-Gontier, the Perreault cheese dairies are planning an extension to increase their production – Le Journal des Entreprises – Maine-et-Loire
The Perreault cheese dairies (Savencia group), which produce the Vieux Pané, Fol Epi and Chamois d’or brands, plan to build an extension to their cheese workshop, due to the development of “sliced cheese” formats. This extension will cover an area of 2,260 m², for a height of 12 to 14 m. It will be built as an extension of the current buildings. If this project materializes by 2025, the cheese production capacity will increase from the current peak of 72 tonnes per day to 96 tonnes per day. The workshop extension will accommodate additional draining and pressing lines, and washing tunnels. At the same time, the improvement of the treatment plant and a modification of the spreading plan are envisaged. A request for authorization to operate under the ICPE (installations classified for the protection of the environment) is currently being examined. The public inquiry started on February 18 will run until March 20.
