In Lyon, birth of a large floating theater for toddlers

“We are not on a barge, but on a real building!”, enthuses Jean Philippe Amy, director of the Patadôme Theater in Irigny, at the origin of the project. “It’s very stable and no one will get seasick while watching a show.”

After ten months of work, the Floating Theater “L’île O” is finally ready to welcome its first visitors. Moored on the banks of the Rhône, in Lyon, since the fall, the construction is impressive. First of all with its measurements: an area of ​​800 m2 including a rooftop of 150 m2, a length of 38.33 m and a width of 11.4 m wide.
