In Pordic, Espace Émeraude opens with 300 m² of photovoltaic panels with storage on its roof – Le Journal des Entreprises


A new store of the Angevin chain Espace Émeraude (278 million euros in turnover in 2022, 1,500 employees), specializing in garden and household equipment for individuals and professionals, has opened its doors on March 24 in Pordic (Côtes-d’Armor). Particularity, its roof is equipped with 300 m² of photovoltaic panels with storage, a first for the brand, which has 80 points of sale in France. The installation was carried out by the Nantes start-up Ubby Energy (250,000 euros in turnover in 2022, 3 employees), specializing in storage solutions. “Not only are we significantly reducing our carbon footprint […] but also we ensure our quasi-autonomy in energy, an undeniable advantage given the current context” underlines Stéphane Le Gallais, director of the Costa Rican store.
