Jordi Mestres becomes Managing Director of BDR Thermea France

Previous experience in Spain

At 49, Jordi Mestres has a long experience in the heating industry. After graduating in industrial engineering from the Polytechnic University of Barcelona (Spain) and completing an MBA at Esade Business School, he began his career in a family business. Between 2001 and 2007, he worked for the Roca group, first as product manager and then as sales manager. Subsequently, he was hired by Baxi as sales and marketing director.

In 2011, he joined the BDR Thermea group as Chairman and CEO of Spain and Portugal. He will hold this position until his French appointment. “Jordi Mestres has grown BDR Thermea Spain and Portugal significantly through acquisitions and significant market share gains in several product families. The company now has 1,200 employees and achieves a turnover of 220 million euros through its two brands Baxi and De Dietrich, which allow the company to be among the leaders in the heating, ventilation and air conditioner on the Iberian Peninsula“, says the company.
