LDC posts a turnover increase of 15.3% to 5.8 billion euros – Le Journal des Entreprises – Maine-et-Loire


The cumulative turnover for the 2022-2023 financial year of the poultry producer LDC increased by 15.3% to 5.8 billion euros, the Sarthois group announced on Thursday April 6. The year was marked by a 5.6% drop in volumes compared to the 2021-2022 financial year, due to the avian influenza episode. The turnover of the Poultry France division (with integration of the Upstream division) for the 2022-2023 financial year amounts to 4.2 billion euros, up 12.2%. This growth is mainly explained by “the price increases obtained combined with a solid dynamic on the most contributory ranges”. International business increased by 42.4%, with turnover (January to December) of €812.7 million. The group benefited from price increases and also benefited from positive market effects, an increase in export sales and the contribution of the Capestone company integrated in October 2021. Revenue for the Catering division came to €827.2 million, up 10.3%. There, the price increases obtained are insufficient to compensate for the sharp increase in raw materials. On eggs, the Competition Authority having given its approval for the acquisition of Ovoteam, “the final signature will take place in the days to come”.
