Private rail operator Le Train, born in L’Isle d’Espagnac (Charente) announces the opening of its capital. In parallel with a traditional fundraising from private investors, the company, which plans to operate 5 high-speed lines in the Great West (to connect Bordeaux, Rennes, Nantes, Tours, Poitiers, Angoulême, Angers, La Rochelle and Arcachon) aims to raise 3 million euros through crowdfunding on the Tudigo crowdfunding platform. The funds raised will be used to “continue the implementation of digital platforms (customer application, website, reservation system) and the company’s information system, recruit engineers, sales representatives, drivers and on-board teams and finalize the design of the trains (entrusted to the Spanish manufacturer Talgo) before starting construction next year”, underlines Alain Getraud, Managing Director of the operating company.
