Lille for the Common Good raises 500,000 euros for ten associations – Le Journal des Entreprises

Organized by the Fondation de France Région Nord and Obole, the second Lille evening for the Common Good was held on April 4 at the Cité des Échanges. This event, “which brings together philanthropists and patrons from all walks of life and all those who wish to get involved for our territory”, recalls a press release, aims to raise funds for the benefit of ten associations, selected upstream. This year, the evening brought together 700 people, and raised 518,600 euros in donations. They will be distributed between the associations, including Lille’s Les Bureaux du cœur, which offers companies the opportunity to open their offices to poorly housed people in the evening and on weekends, or the Valenciennes Harmonia Sacra, which brings culture to everyone in its Opérabus, a miniature and mobile opera house unique in France. But also, Toidemain, in Hem, which opens the doors of companies to secondary school students, or the Automobile Production School in Pévèle, which trains school dropouts in car maintenance jobs.
