Low Emission Zone: the metropolis of Lyon tempers with regard to economic players – Le Journal des Entreprises

The implementation of the ZFE low-emissions zone in the Lyon metropolis implies a change in the mobility practices of economic players, whether in terms of the transport of goods, construction site logistics and employee travel. and artisans and traders. In September 2022, economic players had expressed their difficulties in adapting to the specifications of the low-emission zone. They were particularly concerned about the lack of availability of the Crit’Air 0 and Crit’Air 1 solutions for certain categories of vehicles, the lack of electric and bio-NGV charging infrastructure and the cost of the investments involved. In this context, a number of adjustments have been proposed by President Bruno Bernard and the metropolitan executive. Among them are the postponement from January 1, 2026 to January 1, 2028 of the ban on Crit’Air2 category vehicles on the central perimeter, the adaptation of the contours of its extended perimeter, the evolution of the derogation regimes in favor of vehicles professionals in the absence of alternatives accessible to businesses and the creation of delivery and electric charging areas. These measures will be submitted to the Metropolitan Council on June 23, 2023.
