Norske Skog Golbey relies on work-study to prepare for its diversification – Le Journal des Entreprises


The paper manufacturer based in the Vosges, Norske Skog Golbey (Turnover: €340 million; 390 employees) trains around thirty work-study students each year, from Bac Pro to Bac +5 level, thanks to apprenticeship or professionalization contracts . For two years, the industrialist has been accelerating on this strategy by “passing the alternation to 7.5% of its workforce”, specifies the company in a press release. In 2030, Norske Skog Golbey should integrate around fifty work-study students, against 30 currently. Launched in a vast 250 million euro project aimed at gaining a foothold in the paper for cardboard packaging market, the company is counting on work-study programs to ensure the transmission of know-how: around fifty employees should retire in 2030.
