Qiti raises 1.9 million euros to develop an AI-powered insurance model – Le Journal des Entreprises
After raising 1.5 million euros a year ago, the Nice-based insurtech Qiti announces the closing of its pre-Seed financing round of 1.9 million euros, of which nearly 50% is dilutive, following an extension concluded through a capital increase. This extension was carried out by Guillaume Sarkozy, former managing director of Malakoff-Médéric, who joins the strategic committee of Qiti, as well as by several business angels mainly from the insurance sector and by the historical shareholders. Costounded in 2021 by Christophe Brémard, the start-up aims to be the first on-board and universal international health insurance for expatriates and digital nomads, which adapts their protection and guarantees in real time at each border crossing. It claims to date more than 1,000 active users in 74 countries, and more than 30 partner insurance companies. The funds raised will finance the acceleration of technological developments in AI, commercial deployment and qualified recruitment in the South region.
