Reconditioner Ecomatelas joins Ile-de-France Recyc-Matelas Europe – Le Journal des Entreprises

Based in Saint-Aunès (Hérault) near Montpellier, the SME Ecomatelas (8 employees, 2022 turnover: €1.5 million), specializing in reconditioned bedding, is joining the Ile-de-France company Recyc-Matelas Europe, which is taking a majority stake ( amount not disclosed) to its capital. The operation promotes the emergence of a new integrated player in the circular economy: Ecomatelas reconditions mattresses from end-of-series bedding brands or renewals of hotel complexes, while Recyc-Matelas Europe dismantles them and recovers resulting materials in order to reuse them in the manufacture of other products. By relying on the economic power of the Ile-de-France region, which has 5 sites in France and Belgium, Ecomatelas will accelerate its growth and plans to open a production site in the Paris region and a showroom in 2024.
