After a record year in 2021, river traffic remained almost at the same level in 2022 in the Nord and Pas-de-Calais, confirming the preponderant place taken by this means of transport in the regional mix, rejoices Voies Navigables de France (VNF) in a statement. In 2022, 9.5 million tonnes of goods, with a total value of 8 billion euros, thus circulated in the Nord – Pas-de-Calais navigation basin.
