Saïd Chabane leaves the presidency of the Angers-Sco football club – Le Journal des Entreprises – Maine-et-Loire
In a press release, the professional football club of Angers-Sco announced the resignation of its president Said Chabane “The owner of Angers-Sco, the press release specifies, has thus decided to rise above and give way to his son Romain Chabane.” Teddy Kefalas has also been appointed deputy chairman and will be in charge of operational aspects. Romain Chabane is the general manager of the charcuterie company Valansot, based in Thurins (Rhône). Valansot (€1.96 million in 2021 turnover) is a subsidiary of the Sarthois food group Cosnelle (CA NC), chaired by Saïd Chabane who founded it in 1994. Arrived in 2011 at the head of the Angevin club, then in Ligue 2 , Saïd Chabane holds 99% of the shares of Angers-Sco, whose professional team has been playing in the Ligue 1 championship since the 2015-2016 season. The club, which signed a 35-year emphyteutic lease with the city of Angers for the management of the Raymond Kopa stadium, has invested around 25 million euros in the construction of a new stand, opened at the start of this season. 2022-2023.
