Schneider Electric sees its turnover jump by nearly 20% in 2022 – Le Journal des Entreprises
Strongly established in the Grenoble region, the Schneider Electric group (6,285 employees for the French entity; €28.9 billion in sales in 2021), a specialist in energy management and industrial automation, achieved the year last “a record year in terms of turnover, profitability and net income”, said Jean-Pascal Tricoire, CEO of the group, in a press release. Up by more than 18%, its turnover reached €34.18 billion, while EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes and amortization) amounted to more than €6 billion compared to €4.9 billion in 2021. net income, group share, meanwhile, increased by 9% to €3.5 billion. For 2023, the group forecasts organic growth of around 10% of its turnover. The company took advantage of the presentation of its results to unveil its new governance structure within which the functions of Chairman and Chief Executive Officer will be separated from May 2023. On that date, Peter Herweck, now CEO of ‘Aveva, a subsidiary of Schneider Electric will become CEO of the group, under the leadership of Jean-Pascal Tricoire who will remain Chairman of the Board of Directors.
