Tallineau Emballage invests in its industrial tool and relies on creativity – Le Journal des Entreprises – Loire-Atlantique

It’s hard to imagine that at one time or another in one’s life an object or a product was not in a box. “We are used to saying that packaging is a necessary evil”, notes Benjamin Brochard, president of Tallineau, an SME in the Nantes region, based in Vertou, and expert in cardboard packaging. “For my part, I consider it to be essential, an imperative that allows a product to be packaged, transported, stored or presented. It therefore meets a need, particularly in B to B. But beyond that, in B to C, the packaging is also the first thing you see. It gives a first impression to the product it contains, so it is an asset for marketing.”

Before becoming a packaging whose shape adapts perfectly to the product, a cardboard plate looks like a thick sheet with a corrugated interior. In the production line, it will be cut using cutting shapes. Another part of the machines is used to print logos, graphs, drawings and other information requested by the customer. “Our Vertou plant specializes in small packaging, including small series, while our unit in Chantonnay (Vendée) specializes in large packaging.” Each year, Tallineau produces more than 18 million packages and uses close to 5,000 tonnes of cardboard (recycled and recyclable). “Each cardboard scrap is recovered and will become cardboard again, also specifies the manager.
