These were two highly anticipated texts: the decree and the order relating “automation and control systems for tertiary buildings” were published in the Official Journal of April 8, 2023. Objective: “equip all existing and new tertiary buildings with automation and control systems by January 1, 2025 for those with systems over 290 kW and by January 1, 2027 for those equipped with systems over 70kW”as specified in the notice of the decree.
The extended scope of the obligation
The group of companies in the French digital electronics sector (Gimelec) welcomes, by press release, the publication of these texts. The organization welcomes first of all the expansion of the fleet concerned, since the threshold of the previous text, activating the obligation, was that of 290 kW. “In practice, this amounts to extending the installation obligation to all tertiary buildings around 1,000 m² [plutôt que 2.000m²]”assures the Gimelec.
