The Carrefour de Laval is the first in Europe to install recycling kiosks – Le Journal des Entreprises – Maine-et-Loire


The Carrefour retail chain is innovating by launching recycling kiosks in Laval (Mayenne), where customers can drop off products that are usually not recycled and obtain a voucher worth up to 15 euros in return. This is a first in Europe, launched in collaboration with the company TerraCycle and five leading partners in their category: Bic, Dim, Hasbro, Philips and Tefal. This initiative concerns products that are generally little recycled and not eligible for the sorting bin. The vouchers will be redeemable on products from partner brands, namely Bic for pens, Dim for tights and stockings, Hasbro for toys, Philips for razors and toothbrushes, and Tefal for pots and pans. . With a network of more than 14,000 stores in nearly 40 countries, the Carrefour Group generated sales of 90.8 billion euros in 2022.
