The Ensivalor system has made it possible to recycle more than 2,200 tonnes of tires – Le Journal des Entreprises
The Ensivalor scheme, orchestrated by the Meurthe-et-Moselle Chamber of Agriculture, in partnership with the Lorraine Agricultural Cooperative, has since 2020 collected and recycled more than 2,200 tonnes of tires from 158 farms. The next collection, organized on the territory of the Community of communes Meurthe Mortagne Moselle, should make it possible to recycle 450 tonnes of tires, which will be crushed by the SARL Gilles Henry, in Chaudeney-sur-Moselle, to then be recovered as an alternative fuel. in cement works or steel works. The departmental deposit is estimated at nearly 10,000 tonnes of tires on the farms: these tires were used until now to ballast the silage tarpaulins. “Over the year 2023, 1,400 tonnes of tires will be collected, i.e. a site representing the equivalent of around 200,000 car tires”, specifies in a press release the Chamber of Agriculture of Meurthe-et-Moselle.
