The industrial group STIF integrates the injection activity with the takeover of NSI Plastique – Le Journal des Entreprises – Maine-et-Loire
With the acquisition of the Saint-Martin-du-Fouilloux SME NSI Plastique, the STIF group (French industrial sheet metal company) relocates an activity that it previously subcontracted to a Portuguese company. “We had the opportunity to take over NSI Plastique, indicates José Burgos, managing director of STIF, which will enable us to manufacture in-house, a few kilometers from our home, the plastic injection products that we subcontract, such as certain buckets for the handling of bulk goods. We acquired 70% of the shares of the company and Pascal Aram, who was the owner, retains 30% while remaining general manager.”
Development projects
Before the takeover, which is the first external growth operation for the STIF group (€32 million in 2022 turnover, 150 employees, including 120 in Maine-et-Loire), NSI Plastique employed 7 employees for a turnover of approximately 700,000 euros. The company has been renamed STIF Plastic, retains its markets and adds to its production what was previously carried out by the Portuguese subcontractor. “It has sufficient production capacity for this, adds José Burgos, and STIF Plastic should double its turnover next year to around 1.5 million euros.” Especially since the Saint-Georges-sur-Loire group has other development prospects for its subsidiary: it plans to make investments there by 2024, with the construction of a clean room, which would allow it to open up new markets, among others in the pharmaceutical industry. At the same time, the STIF group, which specializes in the manufacture of buckets for bulk handling and the production of anti-explosion panels, is continuing to prepare for its IPO. Scheduled for September 2023, it should enable the group, which generates 70% of its export business, to develop strongly internationally in a new market, that of explosion-proof equipment for electrical energy storage groups. .
