The Nantes chartered accountancy group Amarris takes over the Breton firm Aria – Le Journal des Entreprises


Created in 2005, with a head office in Lorient and an agency in Quimperlé, the chartered accountant firm Aria Expertise Conseils (€1.4 million turnover; 20 employees) was acquired at the beginning of the year by Amarris. “It’s a chance to be able to expand our services and our network”, pleads the transferor, Christophe Boucher who is maintained in the management of the entities. Following an initial establishment in Brittany, in Lannion (Côtes-d’Armor), in February 2022, this operation reinforces the external growth strategy of the group founded by Claude Robin in the early 2000s. Based in Saint-Herblain ( Loire-Atlantique), Amarris has also just completed an acquisition in Belgium, with the takeover of Comptafisca, a company specializing in the medical accounting and tax sector. In Belgium, Amarris supports more than a thousand companies.

Pioneer of digitalization

Employing around 450 people, the Nantes group today achieves a turnover of more than 30 million euros, split between several subsidiaries. The historical branch of chartered accountancy into which Aria is integrated is Amarris Contact. “With 27 locations throughout France and an activity that weighs around 7 million euros in turnover, we seek to work as close as possible to our customers, with particular emphasis on advice and follow-up”, explains Claude Robin . It is in this logic of proximity that Amarris recently opened agencies in Saint-Lô (Manche) And Clisson (Loire-Atlantique).

However, the activity of the Nantes group is not limited to traditional chartered accountancy. As one of the pioneers in the digitalization of compatibility activities, Amarris Direct has been offering an online platform since 2008 to facilitate accounting management operations. “We were a forerunner with the deployment of this solution for which we now have more than 3,500 customers for a turnover of around 7 million euros,” says the manager.

Accounting software developed in-house

One of Amarris’ specialties is also the production of payslips, with approximately 16,000 documents produced each month. Through its subsidiary Touche pas à la pay, it offers a complete payroll outsourcing service for SMEs with 20 to 500 employees. “I arrived in chartered accountancy without a lot of interpersonal skills, but with the desire to move the lines,” says the boss of Amarris, who brings together a brigade of around fifteen developers to design IT solutions. This is precisely the purpose of Fizen and Skwarel, applications made available to more than 9,000 VSE managers to facilitate the day-to-day handling of their accounting.

Rental fleet management

Finally, Claude Robin’s latest structure is Amarris Immo. “We support lessor owners in the management of their furnished rental stock by offering them a declaration of their income under the real regime, which presents a real tax advantage. Through this solution, we have built up a portfolio of more than 20,000 customers and reached 8 million euros in turnover”, says the entrepreneur.
