The New Aquitaine wool industry has its own cluster – Le Journal des Entreprises

The Lainamac Association, which since 2009 has brought together professionals in the wool industry in New Aquitaine, in particular through a Parisian showroom/incubator (Oh My Laine), a training center based in Felletin (Creuse) or the business development (about thirty structures supported per year), is associated with the Bayonne Pays Basque Chamber of Commerce and Industry to create “the first wool cluster in France”. The objective of this creation: to bring together the actors of the sector (more than a hundred companies and 700 jobs in the region), “to support their development, to capitalize and to spread the economic models by highlighting the territories of origin “, specify the two structures in a joint communication. This cluster will begin its activity through a first sector meeting at the end of April in Libourne (Gironde), which “will more particularly target the partners of the cluster”.
