The NGE group selected for the Captain Gèze retention basin in Marseille – Le Journal des Entreprises
The NGE construction group (16,000 employees, turnover: 2.8 billion euros) was selected by the public establishment Euroméditerranée for the construction of the retention basin (10,500 m3) of Captain Gèze in Marseille. The contract will involve six group subsidiaries – NGE GC (leader) for civil engineering, Guintoli for earthworks, EHTP for networks, NGE Fondations for retaining walls and diaphragm walls, SOC for equipment and Agilis for temporary signage – as well as than Romag and Valentin TP. The construction of this basin is one of the major points in the requalification of the Cap Pinède – Capitaine Gèze axis. With the aim of storing surplus water during the rainy season in order to compensate for the saturation of the networks and avoid discharges directly into the sea, this work is part of the overall program for the creation of retention basins launched by the Aix-Marseille-Provence metropolis
