The Port of Calais adopts Soget’s latest management system – Le Journal des Entreprises

The Maritime Federation of the Port of Calais, France’s leading cross-Channel port, has chosen to equip itself with S) ONE, the latest generation of Port community system (PCS) developed by Soget, a Le Havre specialist in port information systems. Equipped since 2010 with a PCS already operated by Soget, the Maritime Federation of the Port of Calais will thus benefit from a new solution 5 times faster than the previous one. “This shortened time offers optimal fluidity and a faster response time”, specifies Hervé Cornède, president of Soget. S) ONE will in particular offer new possibilities to users, such as transfer between railway Temporary Storage Installations (IST). The software also offers advance customs clearance of goods as soon as they arrive at the secure car parks upstream of the port, or even complementary solutions to monitor performance or environmental impact (CSR / GHG).

In 2021, the port of Calais welcomed 4,500 trucks per day, i.e. more than 1.6 million heavy goods vehicles over the year, and the trade terminal recorded the passage of more than half a million tonnes of goods. .
