In an assessment of rental real estate in Metz in the first quarter of 2023, Thierry Benedic, CEO of the Benedic group (turnover: €15 million; 150 employees) notes that “the rental market in Metz is very tight, with a level of very low offers that we had not seen for many years. Logically, rents are therefore on the rise, driven by a qualitative demand from Messins who, for lack of being able to acquire a property, rent their accommodation”. On the price side, the trend is for growth: for “a 3-room apartment, the square meter was displayed between €9.50 and €10.20 in the first quarter of 2019 while it will now be at €11.50 per meter square if it is a new property”, note in a press release the teams of the Benedic group.
