Trédi Strasbourg, a subsidiary of the Mayenne Séché Environnement, will supply the Strasbourg heating network – Le Journal des Entreprises – Maine-et-Loire

Trédi Strasbourg, a subsidiary of the Mayenne group Séché Environnement specializing in the thermal treatment of hazardous industrial waste, will supply the urban heating networks in Strasbourg, thanks to the heat released by the waste during its combustion. It becomes the second heat supplier to supply the industrial heat recovery network of the Port of Strasbourg. Eventually, this contribution will be 70 GWh, or the equivalent of 25,000 people served and 16,400 tonnes of CO2 emissions avoided. The commissioning objective is the start of next winter, in November 2023. The R-PAS project (Strasbourg’s low-carbon heating network) was initiated in 2015 as part of a partnership linking the Port Autonomous Strasbourg to the energy company R-CUA. The first supplier involved in this project was the paper manufacturer Blue Paper. Séché Environnement, which employs more than 5,700 people, including more than 2,500 in France, generated nearly 900 million euros in turnover in 2022.
