With its food court, the “Contreforts Gratte-Ciel” project wants to delight the people of Villeurbanne
Extending over 2,500 m2, it rests on two pillars: upstairs offices, of flexible dimensions (75 to 350 m2), decorated with outdoor terraces and a ground floor housing a 700 m2 food court open to the neighborhood .
A gourmet hall in addition to the existing offer
Regarding this gourmet market, it aims to be an additional point of attraction in the district. It will be a place dedicated to “eating well”, with a take-out, caterer and catering offer and a particular emphasis will be given to local products. It will complete the existing local offer: the market, food shops, grocery stores, etc. It was also designed to fit into the particular architecture of the district dating from the 1930s. Moreover, the Société villeurbannaise d’urbanisme (SVU), owner and historical manager of the Gratte-Ciel de Villeurbanne, does not hide its ambition to perpetuate this history and this heritage.
A building that blends into the heritage architecture of Skyscrapers
For this, the group has imagined a ” framed building that expresses its own identity while accompanying the singular silhouette of the Skyscrapers. This exoskeleton tuned to the rhythm of the windows expresses a great sobriety timeless that allows to establish a subtle dialogue with the buildings. This device also gives a great homogeneity to the whole built and responds to the scale of the size of the contiguous public space. ” indicates Didier Richard, mandated architect.
The construction aims for labeling BREEAM at the Very Good level, in particular through the use of biosourced materials, summer comfort, quality of use, indoor air quality, etc. Construction could start in 2024 with delivery scheduled for the end of 2025.
